Sicilian Love

The Sicilian Love is a wonderful riff of the Cosmopolitan cocktail. We changed the vodka with Companion, a bitter aperitif with sicilian orange flavors. The sprig of rosemary pairs well with the flavors and give some more herbal touch.

drink insights

What are the key ingredients, their roles, and possible substitutions?

The Sicilian Love is a herbal riff on the Cosmopolitan cocktail. Instead of serving this drink in a coupette glass, we like to use a wine glass to capture more of the rosemary aroma. The main ingredient is Companion Sicilian Orange, a herbal aperitif with aromatic herbs such as wormwood, marjoram, and chiretta. This combination, together with cranberry, orange liqueur, and some lemon, is really a crowd pleaser. Don’t forget to double-strain the drink. It might happen that some of the rosemary particles are going into the glass, not that nice to chew on it.
